Transperancy in Reservation on Long ? Short distancce Trains

Railway online reservation system never discloses how many seats are in "open" category ,"agents quota" "Station Masters Quota" "VIP quota" etc. in 3-Tier 2-tier A.C ,3-tier A.C, First class A.C. A.C Chair car etc.
The online booking must be totally transparent.Customer must get choice to choose his birth /seat and bogie . The reserved seats (VIP ,AGENTS quota Station Master's
quota) can be marked "x" when the chart is open for reservation. In fact the age old system of "Agents" must be abolished forthwith. There is reason why I am saying this. I am a frequent traveler between Mumbai and Pune .Many times my wait list number is > 60 on Deccan Queen or Inter City Exp; but still my ticket is "confirmed" previous day by night. This means there is bogus /fictitious blocking of seats ;which must be stopped. A common passenger ,on seeing wait list number as high as 50 and above is scared to take risk and turns to other means like State Transport or Yellow or A.C Cab.The result is that Railway looses its revenue. As far as sleepers are concerned the system should check the age of passenger and for passengers less than say 50 years of age should not be allowed to book lower berths during "peak season". The lower berths should be for seniors citizens only. more

like airways there should not be any agent. reservation should be totally virtual or through railway counters partly. There should be reservation tab like 'guest' where there will be dynamic pricing. more
As I understand nearly 50% berths are covered by so many quotas and are used by people having links with officials recommending release of such quotas just a day before journey commences. more
Agents can be allowed only at places where there is no ample facility for reservations, like station being far away from city places. Why agents are needed in places like metros?.They are cause for most of the problems faced for booking by genuine passengers.Only at small and remote places from main city habitation can agents be allowed more
I AM TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU more
