Travel Insurance for Waiting List Passengers.

Recently I travelled to Bangaluru and now booked my ticket for Delhi. Both time General Category showed waiting list but under Senior Citizen Lower Berth quota reservation was available but Travel Insurance option was not available because General Category was under Waiting. I request Department to alter their software so that when Berths are available under Senior Citizen quota, Travel Insurance option should be available or there should be some arrangement that passenger can file for Travel Insurance separately.
Travel Insurance cost less than a rupee so removing it from Waiting List it not in favor of passenger. Please make necessary changes to provide Travel Insurance to waiting list passengers also. more

The problem is not being Sr. citizen but when a particular class comes under waiting list then all booking are not offered insurance option even when tickets are available under particular category. There should be some option when a passenger get confirmed ticket from waiting list he/she should get option for travel insurance. more
Travel Insurance usually is offered fir travelers. I don't understand why IR offers it selectively. Strange, very strange. more

I agree why this discrimination between citizens.Once a citizen becomes senior does it mean he is no longer a citizen of india and all facilities which he had needs to be removed similar to the sr citizen concession which was removed and still govt is dilly dallying on this and only gives vague responses why it is not happening .And does it require a committee to be set up to give as if all the recommendations are implemented given by the committee .It is a clear case to postpone the same and let is die with the passage of time and also gives an excuse to the media when posed by the question that we have constituted a commiitte and it is looking into the same. What was earlier there did the committee say to remove it.It is all convenience politics played by the railway ministry more
