Troubles of a Factory SME
Was talking to a relative running factory in Greater Noida today. To run their engineering factory, he said one has to take care of 22 different agencies and pay them bribes. From labour to fire and from tax to weights. Where is our country headed?? more

If he refuses to pay bribes, he will not be able to do business. One of my relative has finally decided to close down his factory in Noida due to above reasons. we all know what is happening at the top. Who will come for your rescue? I never pay bribe but I am aware about ground realities. more

I agree that Governance is pits in U.P. But I also wonder what will happen if the person running the factory stands his ground and refuses to bribe officials. Aside from work getting delayed , what else will happen if bribe is not paid? Certainly, there is expectation of easy money for the government officials concerned. But is it not our duty as citizens to refuse to bribe, for the sake of our country? This may seem diffocult but is not impossible. more

Mr. Azam you are not aware about ground realities. It has become next to impossible for an honest business man to do business. Ther is nothing like Governance now a days particularly in UP. more

I wonder how much of it includes areas where they are guilty of doing something wrong and by paying bribes they can get away. Clapping requires both hands. And also in cases where they are right, have they tried to do it the right ways rather than paying a bribe or hiring a broker to facilitate. A citizen movement (not a political movement) is needed to set this right. Wonder if we could have a "Wall of Shame" on LocalCircles? All bribe taking officers/departments to be posted on there. more
