TV discussion of weapon systems and assets ,logistics used in Pak attack- not desirable
It was jubilation, celebration time for the nation after the IAF attack on terrorists centres.
Many celebrities, senior officers, defence experts ,politicians were discussing the complexities of attack and it’s desirability in this dynamic situation.
But the most serious breech of information is taking place in TVs by overenthusiastic anchors who grilled all to extract a very detailed info on attacks .
But discussing the location of units,types of aircraft’s ,capability ,weapon systems and strategy of attack in detail and giving even numbers of assets we have and their costs does not auger well for us .
It is a classified info and loose talk, bravado , euphoria must be checked .
The GOI,MEA, Home dept, defence dept ,information broadcasting dept must rethink as to how much damage it is causing if you reveal your defence capability in detail.Pakistan does not need spies and enough info can be deduced and compiled by these Tv Brodcasts.
In Gulf war they wanted to brow beat Iraq and over publicised it by CNN.
As a ex officer of defence forces I feel that some restraint must be brought in before we dissipate defence information.Jaihind more

These are only expressions for utter lack of demeanours towards the sovereignty of our country. Defending the sovereignty is simply not restricted to the armed forces and/or the para-military forces but to every citizen. Everyone should behave as responsible citizen and exercise utmost restraints in expressions or making public of any information, which may become disadvantageous or detrimental to sovereignty of our nation. Global citizenship, openness, transparency need be upheld with certain responsibility and self-imposed restrictions towards the paramount interest of the country to which we belong. more
