Tyres imported from China
It seems that automobile tyres are now coming from China in plenty.
Are tyres having mandatory standards in India. If so are these chinese tyres like nicxin compliant?

For 99% people price is the main criteria,the product may be from any place in the world.This shows our incompetence in the domestic as well as international market.

One basic principle of Economics is that if you as producer wish to compete on the international platform, you've got to be competitive price-wise. No use blaming the Chinese always for one's own incompetence........

Why this question? Simply don't buy anything Chinese as would any patriotic Indian. Govt. should be pressurised to ban all Chinese products then only, this will also help creat some jobs in India & improve our economy.

There should be uniform quality parameters for all types of tyres whether indigenous or imported and every lot should be tested randomly in an approved test house. The Indian manufacturers should also learn to compete withoin imported products -both quality and price wise. The Central and State governments should remove the bottlenecks, if any, like availability of raw material, power and labour reforms. Unionized work culture is a major hurdle in reducing cost and increasing production.
