UK Flights

Can someone please get the Govt of India to answer this? Why did they not shut the UK flights in 1st week of Jan despite our circle saying so.

Why are they not shutting now. I am afraid you dont understand how covid works. One can contract Covid on Day 1 or Day 2 (post test on Day 0) take a flight on Day 2 with negative RT PCR in UK or South Africa and arrive in India on Day 2 have negative test here in Delhi Mumbai and go on with their work family and infect them on Day 4-5.

The flights must be shut no two ways about it. more

Government has been alert and based on situations and demand of public, the flights are allowed with due precautions. more
Dipali, please check facts. Before boarding a flight from USA/UK/Europe, not only airlines now asking RTCPR negative report done 72 hours before boarding but also vaccination proof. On arrival, there is again Covid checking. Why should you still ask to ban the flight? more
We all are here to question the government for whatever they do. Why did you ban? Why did you not? Why lock down? Why not lock down? After all, we are living in a democracy where everyone is a pantomath! more
This is an debate, with everyone putting forth their arguments. Calling everyone a "pantomath" - when the word , is being judgemental. If we are a democracy better allow questioning. more
Why should government ban flights and schools and take away livelihoods of people? You seem to be a rich person but not everyone is so rich. People are unemployed and starving to death thanks to people like you. more
I suggest Union and State Administration are capable to decide the matter. Our duty is to have trust on them. Unwanted interference is not desirable for efficiency in operation. more
