ULBs shifting responsibilities

ULBs across the country have in last 1 year started saying now that Residents and societies and colonies should process their own waste. We wont collect waste and process or manage it.

If this is the case we need to demand that each One of our municipalities basically lay off people doing this within their own operations and from this fund our set up of waste processing plant. All agencies doing this must also be terminated and the funds transferred to colonies and sectors and societies.

It is pathetically ridiculous of some municipal commissioners to assume that residents must spend out of their pockets to set up such capabilities.

Most people are struggling in the country to make ends meet. You cant expect us to spend 1 naya paisa more so either start funding this change or get lost.

In all of this the Swachh Bharat mission is no where to be found after giving these ideas. Joke. more

Municipalities must reduce there expenditure on these heads & allow RWAs to use this expenditure & setting up facilities justifiably according to there needs. more
Some homework is needed . What are the functions of the local bodies and what funds they get. How they are spending. What functions are to be out sourced funds to be diverted. Man power requirement assessment. If citizens are asked to do some jobs they need to be compensated as we do for outsourcing. That may reduce inflow of funds and man power of Local body. Need to do Home work. more
corporations are collecting garbage / waste maintenance funds while collecting house taxes so corporation has to pay for it more
I think they spent lot of money for last few years and govt. must have asked for audit report for further funds.... On Sun, 23 Feb 2020 14:09:09 +0530 Sanjana Gupta wrote > more
There is great deal of shortage of persons of integrity in our political and administrative setup. A massive country like ours can not develop with a few putting sincere efforts and others simple sinking and soaking the results. I don't think there is dearth of funds but yes competent people are there in short supply. Govt depts only cry about their well being they forget to even work and serve the people they are appointed for and whose hard earned money they get through their salary. Political dispensation is also equally astray in its commitment. Both need competent task masters only as the ways to accomplish goals are many. more
