Unclean washrooms in Trains!

The issue with unclean washrooms in trains still continues. It also includes AC coaches. I do agree that the citizens need to take care of clealiness, however, the washrooms should be designed in a modern way with good facilities for water, toilet rolls, hand wash, sanitizers, air fresheners, etc. There should be people hired to keep the washrooms clean at all times. This can help them with jobs. The present quality of washrooms are prone to a lot of diseases. Their quality should be improvized similar to the washrooms at airports or in the flights. Instead of bullet trains, we need to first enhance the quality of the trains that are running currently in India. Indian Railways needs a lot of improvement with regards to cleanliness at the railway stations and within the trains. Hire as many individuals as possible and give them good training. It will help reduce the unemployment rate in India. And, provide proper dustbin facilities with noitifications at the railway stations and within the trains. This won't cost much and we deserve this. Thank you! more

10000 perslns are wlrki g at the houses of officers of Indian Railways. Delending upon the timings and number coache of particular train wè may deploy this exgra staff 2 - 3 in shifts as per rules for cleaning toilets and coaches . more
It is highly essential to take immediate and continuous steps in making the toilets clean in Trains and maintain it through out the journey At all major stations checking is necessary. more
It is true that diseases travel faster due to unclean toilets .infection spreads faster from unclean toilets .Awareness and arrangements for liquid cleaning agents readiness shall be addressed more
Railway has introduced the facility of SMS PNR for cleanliness. But this inadequate, no body responds, on the contrary PNR is challenged. Can any one listening and correct the system more
Very true, we need a clean and hygienic journey by train. So it has to be cleaned and dustbins should be there. Toilets of our trains are horrible even in first class and executive class of Rajdhani and Shatabdi. As we are paying so much for these class we have to have facilities and cleanliness as well. more
I agree, toilets are the most dirtiest place in a railway compartment. A need to completely overhaul and redesign the toilet. No dabba and water tap, replace with water jet. Water Tap with sensors. Clear instruction with pictures, how to use. Each compartment with cleaning attendant and the Maintenance a must responsibility of coach supervisor. Easy access for the passengers to report and complain.

Provide the means than ask for result.
Provide clean toilets with proper maintenance, than ask passengers to maintain the cleanliness. Mass awareness campaign on each railway station to maintain the cleanliness.

I agree with you that railway can not avoid its responsibility at the same time passengers tohave the responsibility. I agree with you that uneducated persons while traveling byAir uses the facilities but in train he does not .Reason for this is fear , number of persons using facilities are limited and if not followed the instructions they can be easily identified , Regarding contacting PNR I do not have any experience but telling ticket checker served the purpose snd got it clean more
The Railways can't avoid responsibility by pointing out at the uncivilized passengers. They must make a full-proof system considering that handful of passengers may not follow the rules. The latest bio-toilets are even worse. I wonder how the authority considers it as an improved one! Now a days even most common or rural people also sometimes travel by air out of compulsion. Even then, the toilets in the aircraft remain clean. Make a system and the environment that motivates and sometimes forces the people to keep the train toilets clean. Time has come to think seriously how to design the train toilets in a compact form but people will feel easy, safe and hygienic to use. more
