Undersized Water bottle hooks.

Experience of travelling in premium train : Rajdhani Express(Train No. 22691/92). For attending WES 2018at Bangalore, I boarded the train from Hazrat Nizzamuddin, Delhi.

When the train started at 8 pm, bottles of water were given. But there was no place to keep or hang them. When the TTE came, he was asked to bring complaint register.

The complaint register did not come but a technician and the technician tried to hang the bottle in the plastic hook meant for water bottle. Despite best efforts, the bottle's head could not fit in it. And they said: Sorry sir. We cannot fix it.

I gave a smile and said: If you can't fix, how can I - a senior citizen. Both left and then the coach attendant came with food.

I asked him: Have you asked the passengers preference. He said : no. And you are serving the food without telling whether it is veg or non-veg. He said: It is written on the packaged food.

It was really horrible experience. For 36 hours, our water bottles kept on rolling on the floor of the compartment.

People at the helm attention please. Material inspection for the coaches be improved. The supplier of these water bottle hooks might have greased the official and got the under-sized hooks accepted by Railways.

Give the coach attendant training like private hotel waiters to serve the passengers more effectively and smilingly.

Food was 6/10. more

This is precisely what I had brought out in my petition earlier noting down more points especially in upper class (2A): 1. Side berth woes - Length & Width of the seat (as compared to seats inside the bay) 2. No Mobile Charging points in the side berth & insufficient points inside the bay 3. Water bottle holder 4. Unclean glass windows. Once a month, the inside glasses also should be washed/cleaned. 5. Most often than not, the Linens/bed sheets provided are only just folded and NOT washed or ironed (my practical experience) These are the few points I wish to highlight. more
The matter should be brought to the notice of Railways more
There is some one who is not working and that's why the passengers are put to inconvenience. Railways should identify and fix responsibilities and take departmental action. more
It seems the inspection of coaches has been broadly dispensed with. In many occasions lights/night lights remain defunct, reading lights in 2AC/ 1AC coaches are either defunct or glows nominally, bottle holders broken or are absent. Sometimes the births are found dust laden at the hinges, loaded with confectionery wrapper refuges (Courtesy: we passengers) , etc. No comments on quality of Food/Tea-coffee etc - since I find the downfall is irreversible/incorrigible. Once I travelled from Nagpur to Howrah by 12101 Jnaneshari Super Dlx Exp (reaching Howrah at 03:30 Hrs) and returned by the same train 12102 (departure Howrah 21:15) on the same date. I found the status of the fittings unchanged. TTE intimated that this rake belongs to Central Railway , and hence all such repairs are done at Mumbai only!!! more
Yes. Thanks for bringing out this issue. I have the the opinion. Rail Way Management should note this and make suitable measure/ step. On Sat, Sep 15, 2018 at 11:33 AM P.K. Keshap wrote: > more
