Unethical prectices by DISCOMS-Regulator-Congress/BJP
Do the public want any more supporting documents to prove hand in glove relations of Congress-BJP-Discoms- Regulators and ofcourse misuse of dominant position by Central govt. through NTPC. While on the one side"AAP" govt has initiated steps to fulfill their promises made during pre-poll and making country corrupt free, the corrupt politicians have been derailing the process.
As per news, BSES has unable to pay to NTPC. Now the very question is where the money has been siphoned off which was collected from its customers. Is the outstanding amount pertains to only the last month. The role of regulator is also highly dubious looking at the way surcharge has been increased. Ethically the Regulators should have waited for the CAG Audit report before increasing the surcharge. In fact it is AAP who has dared to announce CAG audit of these Discoms. I sincerely hope that AAP does not succumb to the pressure of such corrupt pracices even if it requires some alternate mechanism, one possibility could be ensuring that the amount collected during the subsequent period from the customers could be directly paid to NTPC. It is time now to take harsh decisions as this is the last opportunity to see the ray of hope of getting country free from the clutches of corrupt politicians. Opportunity is now or never. more

There is a provision to open an escrow account where the money collected has to be deposited and can be used only in association with NTPC. more

Mr S K Virmani, excellent comments from u, & I fully agree 2 it.But making payment/arrears directly 2 NTPC from what consumers have paid against their Bills, has to b looked into, is there any such provision? SUBRATA GUHA more
