Unfair practices of MOS

TV viewing under new regime. It appears the distributors are taking the public for a ride and regulators and authorities are closing their eyes, ears and mind so that public can be looted.
"The connectivity fees of Rs.130/ for 100 channels and rs.20 for every additional 25 channels is being misinterpreted as those 100 channels to be free channels. And distributors are deciding 75 free channels instead of the consumer. And pay channels can not be included." So you have to pay Rs. 20 for even a single channel you want to add.
As per the MyDen app developed by Den network you can have the combo offer they have prepared or alacarte. You can not have their combo offer and can not include the channels you need from alacarte.
In alacarte also full list of channels are not given.many of the popular channels are not available. Further the bouquets offered by braid casters are not available. All the region wise combo offer are not available. Particularly Kannada channels even news channel available are not included.
Any one who is out of his native state would like to be connected with his native through the TV channels of his state.
By such restrictions they are actually committing restrictive trade practices. And defeating the very purpose of the new regime. Further they have terminated abruptly only Kannada channels in sector-14 Gurgaon from the existing package since last week, in violation of the notification. Not restored even after filing a complaint within the time limit they themselves conveyed. The matter has already been brought to the notice of every authority that is competition commission. Ministry of consumer affairs, DOT, TRAI. But no action till date.
To be effective and true to the purpose of notification to be fulfilled in letter and spirit at least cost. The following system may be adopted. The connectivity fees should be based on number of channels opted. But it will be minimum Rs.130/ up to 100 channels. Region/language wise combo offers including national and international channels may be prepared and should be available for subscription in all regions. Subscriber should be free to decide the 75 channels he wants to subscribe in the first 100 channels other than the mandatory channels as per notification. Hope every authority mentioned above will look into it. And also initiate action against the violations already done and also in future. more

I think with this Govt has open a pandora box and also wants to have their share of pie under the name of GST.New rates are definately going to be more then the existing rates.More over the offer from a particular group like Zee/Sony etc may force you to see other regional language channels which you may not be interested. more
Mr Venkata Ramana, earlier I was subscribing to one of Tata Sky's South Indian bouquets costing over Rs 400 pm. I have now selected only the channels I want, and rhe cost is now about Rs 185 pm. more
Then DEN is cheating. Please get email IDs of DEN cust. support & nodal Officer / Ombudsman from their website & write a detailed mail to them with copy to TRAI / Consumer protection. more
The pricing running till today is really satisfying. Why the TRAI need to change it. It is clear that the Government is giving DTH and Cable operators license to loot the public. more
customers are getting fleeced , i had a Platinum HD connection of TATASKY forwhich i was getting all HD/SD/FTA channels and the price was Rs. 8500 for the Primary connection and for three MultiTVs they were charging Rs. 2750 per TV for an annual pack . the total cost to me used to be Rs. 16750 . NOW , after the so called customer friendly TRAI tarrif order cost of each MultiTV has been doubled to Rs. 500 per TV . EVEN IF I RETAIN THE COST OF MY PRIMARY CONNECTION AT Rs. 700 PER MONTH , I SHALL BE GETTING ONLY 40% OF THE CHANNELS I WAS GETTING EARLIER . Now i shall be paying Rs. 2200 per month or Rs. 26400 annually . I SHALL NOW PAY Rs. 10000 more every year for watching 40% channels ,I was doing earlier . Is it not shameful to fleece innocent customers this way ? more
