Unhealthy Delhi Air

Circles its great to see main stream media refer to the polls we do here on localcircles but question is why has Delhi govt CPCB other bodies not taken action. Why is this not being addressed in mission mode.

Delhi’s winters were once one of the most famous things about the capital but now this season brings some of the worst months when the air quality index deteriorates to hazardous levels.
Delhi has always been in the news, whether it is for its politics, the pollution or the implementation of the odd-even rule. In 2018, a survey conducted by Local Circles found that 35% of the people living in Delhi NCR wanted to leave the region because of the pollution levels that were ever-increasing.

We are suffering from coal burning. I filled a complaint no 1295131 to CPCB in 2017 but still no work has been done . they says we raised letter to MCD n mcd raised the challan that is. but problem is still pending. our govt. system is base on linger on process, no responsibility. more
Actually some politicians are playing dirty, instead taking action using 'pollution' to blame others. Open burning is still happening, roads are machinically cleaned on papers, garbage lying on the roads. Slogans will not help, till date no centralised phone number & email id is published where someone can register the violation. more
This is the joint responsibility of the Govt. and the citizens of Delhi- The knee jerk actions that are being taken by the Govt. can't and won't suffice till it is supported by the public. There should be a comprehensive policy to reduce the pollution which should be followed by one and all more
Knee jerk reactions like odd even scheme for cars will not help in long run. Root causes within Delhi like phasing out 2 stroke engine two wheelers, eliminating fake vehicle and industrial pollution certificates, controlling open waste burning by sweeping agencies, compulsory covering of construction sites to eliminate dust emission should be taken up proactively and not for name sake as is being done now. Besides metro, hop on-hop off chartered buses, sharing taxi/car rides should be promoted by government and outdated laws related to licensing of such services should be re-written by Delhi Government. more
Partially agree wuth this. along with the govt., this is the responsibility of the citizens as well to contribute to reduction of pollution. how many of us, contribute to the reduction of carbon emission in our own houses, which is the main reason of global warming. small steps at every home contributes significantly to lower down the pollution at state and national levels. This diwali and durga puja, we all should take the oath not to burn the crackers. more
