How to delink Aadhaar from Private Wallet Services

Many of us will be worrying as we have already linked our biometric details with private wallet services like Patym, Ola, Uber, Google Pay, MobiKwik, etc. You can delink your Aadhaar details using simple steps:

Step 1: Customers are requested to call on the required customer care numbers of these private wallet firm

Step 2: Ask the customer care service representative to send you an e-mail to unlink your Aadhaar.

Step 3: Users will then receive an e-mail which will ask you to attach a clear softcopy of your Aadhaar. An individual is required to reply to the mail with the picture of Aadhaar card.

Step 4: The private wallet firm will send you a mail confirming that your Aadhaar will be unlinked within 72 hours.

According to Unique Identification Authority of India(UIDAI), an Aadhaar number holder is entitled to delink his biometric details shared with any authorised agency or service provider. As per UIDAI's "Compendium of Regulations, Circulars and Guidelines" for authentication of Aadhaar-based e-KYC, the Aadhaar number holder may, at any time, revoke consent given to a KUA for storing his e-KYC data more

Life has become so complicated with the BJP government. First, aadhar linking, then demonetization, then interest rates so low, cannot even put into MFs as the rates of deduction are so high, now to delink the aadhar! In his election speech, the PM had categorically said he will not impose aadhar but look what has taken place! more
I think no need to delink our Aadhaar more
If you have already linked your Aadhar, don't delink. Who knows when this will come back again? more
Not Delinking Aadhar, what are the consequences? This will enable every one to take a call. more
Mr.Anthony, do not be so skeptical about those who head the government that they can not do any good. In fact many positive things happen but our mindset is so negative we refuse to realize. Definitely we citizens are not holier than cow. AADHAR is really a good thing but vested interests is creating hurdles by bringing the privacy issue into it as we do not have intrusion of privacy at all. The technologies we adore & practice today intrude in every ones privacy but we do not admit it because we can not live with it. The same is with AADHAR. Do not think what supreme court does or pronounces today is the best thing. It is not. more
