In the unmanned level crossings those who are in an assult way they have to cross the line. But in the manned crossings the 6 sensed peoples never minded about the warning bell, the people never respect the rules and regulations some times they have to cross the line when the gate is closed. How we punish them is it have any special session to motivate them more
1. These crossings shud be equipped with Hooters on both sides, which gets activated by approaching Train (Mechanism wherein as soon as load on Tracks increases by specified weight) & its automatic turning off once said weight / train chugs off. Power can be sourced by installing Solar Panels. 2. Roads before these crossings should be having multiple Speed Breakers, which automatically slows the approaching vehicle. This will reduce probability of accident. 3. GPS/Incoming Train Detecter should be installed at these unmanned crossings with auto signal to driver to use horn of train to warn passing by traffic. more

Who will spare time to do all this THE JOBS will be stalled!!! more
Mr.Tiwari's suggestion to keep a gate man at unmanned level crossing will help to some extent to avoid the accidents at these level crossings. Since 24 hour vigil is required ,minimum 3 watchmen on 8 hour shift basis will be required for each level crossing . Further to know when a train is approaching the crossing ,he must have a means of communication to the nearest stations on either side . Except for the gate ,all other facilities of a manned level crossing will have to be provided, making it equally expensive to operate. more
accidents at unmanned level crossing should be avoided. Number of unmanned level crossing should be minimized. At every unmanned level crossing automatic alarm system should be installed. When the train is approaching the level crossing, this system should alarm sound to caution the people who cross the level crossing more
