Is there any Proven Treatment for Covid? Is there a proven treatment for Dengue, Plague, Spanish Flu, Polio? Most of the viral diseases are treated based on symptoms as there is no proven treatment for most of them and Covid is just added to the list. Some of these "unproven" treatment has helped many people infected with Covid. more
And 2DG has been given EUA by the concerned govt authority just a day or so ago & you are already listing it as of no use. Who to believe, you or the top expert body? more
And if the attending doctor at the hospital prescribes one or more of these for your loved one, what are you supposed to do? Show him your list? If you are an expert on covid treatment, you should send this advisory to all the covid treating doctors/hospitals, not to patients/their families. It will have more impact. more

Dr.Gunjan Chanchalani is a consulting intensivist at the Cumballa Hill Hospital and St Elizabeth Hospital in Mumbai; and Sumit Ray were intervied about compulsarily prescribing the listed medicines above. GC: No, we are not fundamentally different. It is a misunderstanding, and as Dr Sumit Ray said, we are unfortunately doing all these things because we are under pressure to treat, under the pressure of lack of resources and poor healthcare in our country. So that is the reason we are using multiple drugs. Even today, when I get a consultation and when I do not really prescribe any antibiotic, I am actually questioned: "What was the consultation for?" But actually, what works in COVID is to decrease the inflammation in the first week, to keep the fever under control very tightly, keep the patient well-hydrated and only if he has an immune response in the second week do we need certain medicines--of them, THE MOST IMPORTANT TODAY IS PROBABLY STEROIDS AND NOTHING ELSE, AND THAT TOO IN THE RIGHT DOSE, NO OVERDOSE. SO, IVERMECTIN, DOXYCYCLINE, HCQ, ALL THESE DRUGS HAVE SHOWN NO BENEFIT FOR COVID IN ANY OF THE RESEARCH. https://www.indiaspend.com/covid-19/we-are-pressured-to-prescribe-drugs-that-dont-work-746403 more
Why 0 2 DG is not proven!! Are you sure? more
