Unsafe/Rough Handling of Children

Child sexual abuse as it stands is a very important subject that we must discuss and get systemic action but also important is the whole issues of beating up of children (still many parents and teachers spank children in India)

Also, i have seen kids in autos, maruti vans stuffed to the max, in some cases hanging out from an auto that does school transportation.

These are also form of abuses. Can we list them all and then see what can be done with awareness, law change, behaviour change. more

First we have to understand that why the tendency of child abuse stem from? Same child when he becomes adult he becomes the child abuser why? That means there are defiantly some social fault. Where in society we are failing. It is not across the board. It is not due to lack of education because I have seen educated people abuses child leave alone uneducated. To my mind majority of child births are product of our lust. When they arrive in the scene they are unwanted and when anything unwanted there is no respect and when there is no respect resulted in abuses. In society if you are not properly educated you will not get good jobs. The job is to either manufacture some thing or some thing els where ultimately to make money. In other case where the fait of the nation depends on child we take it so lightly. Making a child is most easiest thing in the world but raring them from infant to adulthood is a daunting task more difficult than running an industry. For that there is no qualification is required. Whether the parents are mentally fit to deliver a child, whether they have the ability or capacity to rare the child is never asked. Not even questioned or any kind of systematic training is available to address this issue. Until and unless we address this issue seriously it will remain a social menace no matter however stringent rules are made. more

Children are the gift from God to mankind. They are to be treated properly. Right from pregnancy to child birth and raising children the education process must be smooth and loving. The parents are to be taught to be patient with their pranks and be patient with their behaviour. They must be fed properly or otherwise there should be a provision to give them a glass of milk every morning by social services or Government just like noon meal. They must be provided with at least two sets of decent dresses for day to day use. There must be day school wherein they are educated based on their age. They are fed in mid day meal and the night their parents may buy food from the Amma canteens and feed them. They must not be sent to work till they are 18 years of age. This is for lower income group people. For middle class people they must ensure that their ward is looked after well without being admonished for mistake. They must patiently raise them to their capability. there may be some social service organisations developed for small school children and look after them in schools after school till their parents come from work. a well developed network of child care is essential in our country. more

स्कूल द्वारा दी जा रही ट्रांसपोर्ट सेवा की स्थिति बदतर है जिसके परिणाम स्वरूप आए दिन दुर्घटनाए होती है पर कुछ नहीं - सब कुछ देखते हुये हम बच्चों को होने वाले तकलीफ को देख कर अनदेखा करते है जो सबसे बड़ा अपराध है हमारा क्यूंकी अपराध को बर्दाश्त करना भी अपराध ही है । जहां तक देश मे बढ़ते बाल अपराध या सेक्स अपराध की बात है तो सिर्फ कानून बनाने से कुछ नहीं होगा यह हमने निरभाया कांड के बाद बने कानून से देख लिया है -क्या हुआ दिन-ओ-दिन अपराध मे बढ़ोत्तरी ही हुयी है क्यूंकी कानून तो बहुत बाद मे आयेगा पहले हम है तो हम होने वाले अपराध का वीडियो बनाएँगे पर अपराध रोकने का प्रयाश नहीं करेंगे ? इस सोच को बदलना होगा । more

You can talk to principal. Change the school. You go and drop the child in school. Change the transport vehicle. This is your responsibility. What law will do in this case. Report in police. more
