UP Law and Order

Law and order in very bad shape in UP
Dear Sir,

Post of Pankaj Bansal is shared for action by DGP UP- Please note just yesterday I got a chance to visit UP from Rajnagar Extension Ghaziabad till Meerut and while passing through this area I have seen on red light there were some youth puncturing tyres of cars stopped on red light and passing through this area towards Meerut to Haridwar. Some were seen snatching mobile phones from car owners and policeman on duty in this area were mute spectators and it seemed to me that everything is going on in connivance with local police as they are not found taking any action against these goons operating in this area without fear. Please take strong action and save people passing through UP while taking pilgrimage to holy places such as Haridwar and Char Dham Yatra. Just recently a family was being gang raped while coming from Haridwar to Delhi and it seemed police is still sleeping and is not found taking any action against goons operating in this area.

Thanks with best regards. more

Lane violation is something that is blatant and as though like a compulsory rule followed particularly by vehicle drivers of Ghaziabad. I have never seen such deliberate lane violating nature among drivers from any other part of India. While a vehicle is moving forward, people blindly cut across the road and jump into the lane for no reason. If you pay keen attention, this habit is excessive among UP14 number vehicles alone. This is what is causing nightmares to residents of NCR to reach Meerut and vice-versa. And it is true that Ghaziabad police are NOT at all alert and active. Last night I was driving straight within my lane and a Swift Dzire vehicle simply scraped by my side causing dents on an almost empty road on Madan Mohan Malviya Marg and zoomed ahead. A PCR 100 meters ahead SAW what happened and they didn't bother to even stop him. Unfortunately due to the stress it caused me, I failed to note down the vehicle number either. The damage on my vehicle was excessive primarily because the other vehicle had bull guards or bumper rails which have been declared illegal. more
Highly pathetic. more
Some body told me that traffic police men have share in the loot these miscreants do. It is better that this should be brought to the notice of Yogiji by email or otherwise. more
Delhi-Meerut Road has long traffic blockade history almost everyday from last few years. Lot of claims are made by district and local Admin and Police machinery to improve the system after everyday blockade. The local police is inactive. One can not be sure of reaching Meerut from Delhi or vice versa in time. All blame should not go to Admin and Police machinery. Vehicle drivers are taking their vehicles in wronge sides from all cuts and crossings for these long traffic jams. There are no traffic lights there. Policemen are not posted to stop vehicles going on wrong sides. There are unathosed structures on both sides of roads. Actions are not there or are very short lived. Crimes on this road and sideways are common due to lack of police security. more
Police itself is involved . more
Policemen don't really bother about catching real criminals. As far as the traffic cops go, they don't bother about smoke bellowing vehicles like tractors, jhugaad and other vehicles that actually cause pollution and ask for PUC for a well maintained car. There is like a sickness among people to mindlessly jump lanes as though they are suffering from intermittent fits causing them to steer suddenly to the right or left. This is the primary reason for most (all?) accidents and lane violation is something that the traffic cops are NEVER concerned about. more
