UP RERA is a total failure to me
RERA in UP is a total failure according to me as the long pending home that was booked in 2011 supposed to be delivered in 2014 has been re-registered as new project in 2017 with a promised delivery date of 2023. The base rera act called for tracking to original delivery date and not changing delivery date. So as it stands, its made for builders. Some one made a lot of money in the process and homebuyers have been given the boot.

RERA hearings being chaired by Government’ Secretaries/executives who are in fact favouring builders because of reasons best known to them. Until and unless this RERA Authority is given the shape of judiciary being judges/members of judiciary cadre, it will be impossible to get the real benefit by the home buyers. more

Totally agree. It is wishfully made this way to give a backdoor escape to the builders. Yogi surrendered to the builders. Why? A big mystery more

According to RERA if builder fails to give possession of flat in stipulated time as given in agreement you can file case in RERA and can ask for refund of money paid by you with interest. We also flled a case in RERA which is being heard by SECRETARY housingand Rera Mr Abrar Ahmed a senior IAS.All the cases of UP N CR region are being heard by him.Our date of hearing was 21.12.27 and next hearing is on 21.2.18.Thereafter judgement will be passed.We have also demanded refund of our money with interst from respective date of payment for a flat booked in Trident Ambassy inGrater noida west. Secretary is very honest. He did not extend date of hearing on the request of lawyer of builder. more

completely agree with. the new government being fully aware of the rule made under RERA is doing nothing. we had high hopes that the rules made to favour the builders will be scrapped by the new government. I understand that the coterie of IAS officers have not apprised the government about the tweaking made in the rules by the previous government. more

AGREED . The regularity authority Must establish the gap between the date the builder has promised to delver the product and the date on which the new delivery has been promised as per the RERA registration.The buyers should be compensated for the delay as promised penalty in case money is not paid in time .This will be fare to my mind. All buyers falling in the similar case must raise the issue to RERA authority.
