Update and Your Ideas

Dear All:

We are happy that you are one of the 170,000+ citizens who care about the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Yesterday, we have formally announced our association with LocalCircles on the Abhiyan:
http://www.pib.nic.in/newsite/erelease.aspx?relid=110405

We will soon initiate work on the local Constituency/Neighborhood circles on Swachh Bharat and will start placing you in the appropriate circles as they become available.

We are currently seeking your inputs on the two subjects.
1) Solutions for Garbage Management
2) Ideas to Drive Cleanliness at Workplaces

Please respond with your views by going on the respective posts and posting your comments.

Also, yesterday the Make Railways Better Circle has prepared a Whitepaper on Cleanliness and submitted to the Railways Ministry. It is available for your reading at:
https://www.localcircles.com/a/index/core?thoughtleadership

If you have any ideas/inputs on subjects related to Cleanliness and Sanitation that should be reviewed by citizens in this circle and submitted to the Government for action, please share them as a response to this post.

Thanks for your participation!

If Swachh Bharat can target influencer communities the mission can pick up speed. We at Magicbricks.com are working with developer communities to promote the concept of garbage collection, segregation and processing in private townships so that each townships promises to reduce the waste dumped into city landfills. Can there be an incentive to those who do this? This can also be deployed at RWA levels. For instance an RWA that redices the solid waste it send to city landfills can get points that can be traded for road repair or pavement repair or something tangible like that. more

I don't understand what you people are talking about? You are talking of spending and making facilities but what about educated people who are littering our city? Yes. They've been throwing around things. What about taxi people? The sweepers do clean the city in the morning but what about about not creating dirt? Dogs are taken for walk and they shit anywhere. Don't educated people know that they should pick it up so our city is clean? While you walk on footpaths you see more dog shit. One can carry bags where once dog shits, it can be collected in bags and then disposed well. There can be bins at different areas so it can be disposed. We also see people sleeping on the footpaths. who gave them permissions? If not then ask them to move out. Permission for booths also have been given which blocks the footpaths. They should be removed out or there has to be proper provision made as they throw their garbage anywhere. more
