Update on Provident Fund

The Employees Provident Fund Organisation has issued a Gazette Notification for Amendment in the Statutory Claim settlement period from 30 days to 20 days on 3 August.

The amendment is applicable to all the three schemes – Employee Provident Fund (EPF), Employee Pension Scheme (EPS) and Employees Deposit Linked Insurance (EDLI).

It is heartening to note the progressive initiatives undertaken by the EPFO recently; namely, introduction of UAN, online transfers and online code generation for new establishments. more
