Urban Clap very dangerous for beauty services
My cousin used Urban Clap recently for waxing services. The beautician was untrained. After the services, her skin was burnt by the beauticians and is coming off.
Be very very careful before using them for beauty services. And I must say bureau of indian standards must take the time to make standards for such services.
We cant not have service standards in this nation. So many of these services have safety risks and in many cases life and financial risk.
What good is a standards body if all they can do is make standards for bottled water. more

Sorry, but how does that make whole of Urban Clap dangerous? The same thing can happen at any boutique or parlour and is a known risk of such treatments as you urself pointed out. And the statement "After the services, her skin was burnt by the beauticians and is coming off" is rather vague - did it get burnt by very hot wax or was it some reaction to chemicals. You are making it sound as if a the beauticians deliberately burnt her skin that too after the treatment. and if it was an allergy then how is Urban Clap to be blamed alone for that. Also, how bad was the burn, as i am sure if the wax was very hot it would have been realized right at the time of touching the skin- so it definitely cannot be AFTER the entire service. If so then your cousin has an extremely high amount of endurance to go through the entire skin burning experience. At most this seems like an unfortunate accident to me. Yes the beautician/s should have been more careful and checked the temp of the wax (if the burn was indeed caused by it) before applying it. otherwise they are pretty well trained and show the products they use which are not sub standard. if the customer is not OK with any product they should call it out in advance. Please stop generalizing and spoiling names of entire companies rather than just accepting it as a mistake and resolving it through the proper channels. P.S. I am not a UC employee or have anything to do with them but these days it has become so easy to smear someones name on social media just because this is an easy channel available. I also use multiple services from them and my wife also gets beauty treatments at home from them but never had a bad experience. Even if we did have, it would not make all of UC and or any company in general bad. more

Ruchika, It is unfortunate to experience such events. I think one should ask for compensation first. If they refuse then go for remedy and write to fssai for preventive action. more
