Urgent - 121,000 metric ton plastic waste being imported

More than 1,21,000 metric tonne (MT) of plastic waste is being “slyly” imported in India by companies and recyclers, which is adversely affecting the efforts to curtail plastic pollution.

The Indian recyclers and plastic companies are slyly importing used PET plastic bottles in the form of flakes and lumps.

I request members of this circle to get active and escalate this issue to ministry of environment .

Also localcircles seems to be in news regularly and should write to finance ministry to stop this in customs.

India in many terms is waist treatment house for so many developed countries. This is because of cheap labour and unemployment. more
Ms Agarwal, I appreciate your concern. Now realize, as to what government is upto. This is New India -- a waste bin for European world. Nothing will happen only life will deteriorate and go under financial burden day by day , every day.
