urgent need to redefine reservation system

We all will agree that current reservation based on castes and religions is not full proof, it is misused by so called secular parties to retain their vote banks at the cost of dividing the society on caste and religious lines.India being country with so many castes and religions current reservation system is not capable to do justice to all sections of society , there will always be section of society feeling left out.
Time has now come to migrate to system of giving reservations based on financial condition.
The society should be divided on lines of income generating capabilities, reservation benefits should be passed on to low income groups with intention of improving their income generating capability, once the financial condition of these groups improve, their reservation benefits should be revoked and benefits should be passed to other needy group.this system can be driven along with subsidy distribution mechanism.
Govt should workout BPL policy , give BPL cards to Below poverty level population. BPL card holders should be entitled for subsidy and reservation benefits.identification of BPL citizens can be combined with verification of aadhar.BPL cards should be linked to aadhar system and benefetiaries for reservation and subsidies should authenticate themselves at time of availing these benefits.
This system can also help govt in controlling leakages and subsidy bill. more

Fully Agree with Zunzarrao Patil. Benefits should go to the intended end users. Only then we can call the system to be efficient. At present our system efficiency is not even 30%. Modiji Need to take it to 50-60% in these 5 yrs and then to 80-85% in next 5 yrs. We just needed a strong decision maker like Modiji to make it happen. more
I do not feel there is any need for step wise reduction of reservation which is based on caste. Because, the system of reservation is no longer need based. Only a section of affluent class is enjoying this facility. This benefit hardly reaches the genuine depressed class. It is not only continuing, but also the quota is going on increasing over the years only to ascertain the vote bank of political parties, none of whom have the guts to do justice. But the massive mandate of the people to PM Modi-ji has given him the total authority. And he is a man of real guts. It is only he who can do it. This is one of the most important steps for "Transforming India". Only then, India can become competitive and improve to show her strength to the world. I suggest: 1. For some period, reservation only for employment may be given to economically backward class irrespective of caste, creed and religion. 2. There should be no reservation for admission in educational institutions whatsoever. 3. Adequate economical assistance may be given to outstanding and really poor students irrespective of caste, creed and religion. These steps if taken, may look like a bitter pill to start with, but will surely give it's dividend in the years to come more
I agree with Shri Zunzar Patil. Reservation of all types (education, job, etc) should based on economic status. Caste based reservation takes in India backwards. It encourages mediocrity which breeds mediocrity. Similarly subsidy of essential items should not be abolished and must be provided for all economically weaker sections. more
yes i agree reservation should be based on economic condition and merit... not on caste... it should help weaker section..... more
to ensure social justice constitution given way for the upliftment of weaker sections, but creamy layer must be treated as general category within the reserved groups. religious based reservations are unconstitutional n harm the society. more
