Of late, for the past one decade, car manufacturers produce big size cars which are more than the size sedan cars.(don't want to name them). These cars mostly supplied by Govt.offices, Companies, political parties, well to do persons who might not have exposed their income fully, politicians with illgotton money, and very few honest tax payers buy them from their money. These cars really cause huge headache to common people who living in streets less than 30feet width. The persons who ride in these mega cars park them wherever they want, in traffic filled bazars, schools, small streets adjacent to schools, etc to satisfy their needs. The politicians fly in these cars with party flags flying on it with pride to show their strength of political power. These things irks as well as inconvenience the public at large in most places. Hence, Govt of India must bring out an Act stipulating that these mega cars should not ply in roads less than 30width and in village roads. more
Once the economy improves people spend on luxiary items.Big cars is one of the luxiary item.If you remember pre 1991 status when there were hardly 2-3 types of cars and availability was very less. You have to choose the lesser devil. more
I fully agree with Karur Radhakrishnan Chandrasekaran. Apart from this, owners of these super large size car, they may be educated but either not mentally educated or not taught 'Charity which begins at home'. I found these cars parked covering one lane of road and the owner coolly sits inside cars with AC on creating traffic jam. I feel these people are shameless. That's why many times I proposed Government for 'Compulsory Military Service' for 2 years at least for all citizens above 18 years of age irrespective of their education qualification to bring self discipline in them. more
Unpractical demand & suggestions. Moreover, for your kind information, the sedan cars are now the most likened vehicles of the so called middle class people in government or private services. This is the main reason for failure of the Tata's 'Nano' and forcing the Maruti to abandon production of their once most popular 'Maruti 800' and from the next month they have decided to abandon production of 'Alto'. Many small car projects had been held up in the pipe lines. I afraid, after a couple of years, we will need to run place to place to find out a new small car to purchase. It would also not be fair to blame the owners of cars of this segment for unruly traffic and parking system. If you watch carefully in an unbiased manner, you will find that the small car and two wheeler owners are more indisciplined and unruly in following the norms and instructions in these regards. Incidentally, I am also a small car (Wagon R) owner. more
Policy Decision to be taken by Central Govt. Big Cars will not be used in India, No Production , No imports whatever be the status of the user. It will be good for all. more
