Useful tip so fruit vendor does not fool you.

Next time you suspect your fruit or vegetable vendor selling artifically ripened produce, you must let them know that police will book them under Sections 272 (adulteration of food or drink intended for sale), 273 (sale of noxious food or drink), and 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) more

sorry to say but in India rules r for fools and law is a protective weapon of criminals.Innocent common people become bankrupt once they r entangled in proceedings of law and justice. more
Mr Chopra you logic is not at all practical and ridiculous. You cannot go to a fruit vendor and tell him that you would go to the police. he would say go. Do you think police will come immediately and take action. you take or leave is a vendor theory. rather if the vendor is strong you might be beaten up also more
We talk of how dangerously polluted the River Yamuna is. And the pollution begins from the north east delhi slums and the slums in UP side of Yamuna. Industries and the zopdiwalas let their untreated sewage containing Harpic and hydrochloric acid to empty into Yamuna. And the same carries on as it passes through entire East Delhi regions such as Patparganj, Ghazipur, Jamia Nagar. And such dirty water is used to irrigate the fields along Yamuna bank where farmers illegally cultivate vegetables which then get sent back to mandis again. This place Jaitpur, Badarpur, Aali and other regions are full of merchants who supply every food adulterant and every possible injections and polishing chemicals used to make vegetables look 'fresh'. The whole of east Delhi starting from far north to extreme south - particularly Badarpur should be demolished and the illegal residents forcibly migrated to Afghanistan. more
Usually these roadside fruit vendors (atleast in Delhi) come in groups from the villages of UP & Bihar. With the backup from our libral/corrupt enforcement agencies, these people encroach the govt. land & pavements anywhere and wherever they please. They make a cartel although they might seem to be competitors. You wouldn't be able to bargain with them. If you think you can threaten them, just forget ... they all, will come together within seconds and will make it just the opposite ...
Never try such adventure when you're into an unknown place and moving with your family ... Precaution is better ... more
