useless medical isurance

In the budget 2018, tax exemption for premium paid towards medical insurance policy is raised to Rs 50,000/- for senior citizens. But it is of no use, as these policies are useless unless you get hospitalised. These policies do not provide benefits for routine consultations, regular tests required for senior citizens, which does not need hospitalisation.
The medical policies should also cover out of hospitalisation expenditure such as concession in consultation, lab tests exc. for policy holders. more

It appears that most people have not understood the concept of term insurance and looking at it like life insurance, wherein you get some sort of return on your payments. Term insurance are a cover for some future incidents which may happen or not In fact in my opinion, life insurance it itself a misnomer as death is certain and how one can cover such a eventuality : it should be life assurance more
