Useless move by Railways of increasing platform charges

Railways seems quite clueless about its own operations. 90% of those who visit the platform dont buy platform tickets because you dont have an easy way for people to buy one.

Increasing the platform tickets from rupees 10 to 50 will not do much in limiting people from entering platforms.

Instead you need to stop solicitation by all the taxi and auto wallas and make sure people can buy a platform ticket on the app.

Then follow up with enforcement where you use some staffers to randomly check tickets and on the spot charge 10 times of the platform ticket value. more

Many a people go to railway station to help their relative's luggage as porters are big nuisance and demand exhorbitantly high.Hence increasing PF ticket is not justified. more
Seen the content. I do not understand why you are dragging Taxi wallahs and Auto's into focus. Hope you are confused and not able to express your problem. On Wed, Mar 18, 2020 at 2:13 AM RN Chopra wrote: > more
A god action by railway to reduce the crowd gathering at stations not taken in view of increasing revenue but to reduce the risk of spreading corona to other people. I am sure the PF ticket cost will come to normal price of Rs.10 once india completely eliminates corona but at the same time vigilance must be increased and every passengers available on platforms must be checked and inquired by railway regarding his/her travel details then only we can see the reduction in the crowd gathering. more
Those who provide service to be allowed to charge as their demand. If one wants to be of help to an arriving or departing passenger be there on time and buy the platform ticket. The charges are enhanced to discourage people unnecessarily crowding on the platforms. If the departing or arriving passenger is your "loved one" spend the money. Or do Railway announce subsidy for SC/ST and BPL families? more
