Uttar Pradesh - Citizen Manifesto
As Uttar Pradesh goes into election, LocalCircles proposes that citizens of Uttar Pradesh should come up with the manifesto for state governance independent of any political party.
Here are the key governance areas we have listed where we propose citizens identify what needs to be done in the coming 4 years. If you have additional areas, please list them:
1) Law & Order
2) Civic Issues
3) Corruption
4) Healthcare
5) Employment and Economic Growth
6) Power and Water Supply
7) Making Doing Business easier for SME
8) Infrastructure
9) Education and Skill Development
We will soon have polls and discussions on these and generate a collective citizen manifesto for the state.

No one has ever done anything in UP with the right intentions whether its SP, BJP or BSP. Not sure if Congress was ever there. I am yet to see anyone's plan more

Some more are: 1. Division of state in minimum 40 Dist. as of now U.P. is like 100 Delhi. 2. Transportation. 3. State revenue should be use 75% in state only. 4. More groups like BSES, BHEL, TATA POWER etc. to be given chance to serve, Coz UPPCL is only LOOTING in day light with hand in glove with electricity Regulatory board Dept. 5. CM, High courts & other important Dept. Should be within the reach of 50 km of each Voter. 6. Dismissal of Noida authority, as it is of no use and make only money as a revenue and spend arbitrarily with the help of some responsible personal by obliging some with monthly income or some as share of signing the forged bills which are nothing but a money making contract. Hence, a CBI enquiry will be carried out for the money spent on papers but actually not spent or higher rates has been charged. 7. Many new offices made but laying empty. 8. Report Card System to be there. Which will set a Responsibility of each and every in-charge. 9. Dept. should be Supervised by the team of Junior students of different fields as well as senior/ retired good report card holders, who will watch the progress time to time. 10. Making use of CRPF, ARMY or other jawans to help the state following norms. more

If any government honestly and successfully implements even 5 0f these points, it will be a landmark. Unfortunately, governments in UP as elsewhere in other parts have only tried to fill their own pockets. As proof, you can see the brother of one politician in Income Tax row for having amassed over 1400 crore in a short duration. Milking the state dry. more
