Vaccine Hesitancy shows continued decline though CO-WIN site a challenge

The CO-WIN system must be linked to whats happening on the ground at hospitals

Friends father registered on the website to get the Covid-19 vaccine at a private hospital this afternoon. When he got there, he was told they had no vaccines left. They were apparently only allotted 100 doses per day and it had already been given to walk ins.

He says the hospital people had no link at all to the COWIN servers. They had no idea who registered. There were lots of frail, elderly people who were saying they had registered and were being told to go back home. And this is at Sitaram Bhartia hospital.

Need to either just have walk in or just CO-WIN or urgently connect the two. The current system is not scalable.

Sharing this here because Govt people listen to LocalCircles I am told. more

We cannot even operate vaccine facilities properly then what will happen if there is World War 3? First of all the government did wrong in allowing people from 45+ and over to get the vaccine. It should have been from ages 70 to 100 first; then 60 to 70, then 50 to 60 and so on. Because of this large group, no one is able to get the vaccine properly. Really shame on the administration. more
@PMOIndia @drharshvardhan sir my father Saroj bera got vaccinated today at 12.35pm at Narayana super speciality hospital Howrah his id is 7520377000728 we haven't got any confirmation sms till now please help more
Yesterday my neighbor went to the Sterling hospital where he and his wife had registered themselves. On reaching there, there was a long line, so he contacted a friend of his who had opted for govt centre. To his surprise there was hardly any line at the govt centre. So he quickly reached the govt centre, walked in and got himself vaccinated. Fairly clean atmosphere, no crowd and cooperative staff !!! What more can one want ? more
Here in Lucknow, all is topsy turvy. Co-win and arogya setu are both failures. Either you don't get through because of OTP not coming or even if you get through, they don't give any feedback. Private hospitals have not received the vaccinations till today in my vicinity of Rai Bareilly road and they are not sure if anything. more
The vaccination schedule was planned well and multiple round of discussion happened with stakeholders by state & centre , but the implementation leaves much to be desired as glitches occurred resulting in many old persons being in trouble waiting for long hours / not getting vaccination at all . Hope it will be looked into and addressed more
