Maximum people should use the Govt facilities in case they do not want to pay for the vaccine. But we have a class who do not want to enter the area of the common man ie the Govt hospitals and they can well afford to pay for the vaccine in the private set up. more
Nice that government has come out with vaccine price notification but will it play important role in ushering vaccination process. We must understand that vaccine is to prevent the spread of the virus, reduce the sufferings by covid hit patients thus saving lives. In view of this vaccine must be free to all citizens and at best, private hospitals can be allowed to charge service charges capping at Rs. 150/-. I don't think any other country is vaccinating its citizens for a cost. By giving vaccine free, cost to exchequer would be insignificant to India's GDP when compared to numerous freebies currently provided by the central and state governments. We need to weigh pros and cons of this expenditure in terms of human lives and economy. Further this will speed up the process of vaccinating maximum citizens which is the need of the hour and thus India can be made covid-19 free at the earliest. Of course, citizens must follow the protocols despite vaccination. Strict penal provisions must be made for violators more
This is what happens when essential things go into the hands of private people whose motive is only profit. Such things have to be handled through a proper system involving only people accountable to responsible authority. Otherwise poor people are simply exploited. more
Communication and mass media is essential. From now onwards use only shitty BSNL and Doordarshan. more
Three cheers for our Local Circles group!!! more
Public and private involvement is a good combination. more
