I booked a flat in 2010 in Greater Noida. VAT was implemented in 2012 and then GST in 2017. Anyone can help me in VAT or GST implications. Some person informed me that bookings before 2012 are exempted from VAT. more
Irrespective of booking date, payments made after 2012 will attract VAT and GST from start of implementation date. GST on many items were revised and given date for respective implementation date. You may be aware that every year new budget is placed in parliament and made effect from 1st April of financial year. Thus all financial payment attracts current tax rate only. more
