Verification of Aadhaar in irctc.co.in

Just wondering why I should not share this difficulty in this group. I had linked my Aadhaar number in my irctc.co.in username. The status in my master passenger list shows that my Aadhaar number has to be verified for 5 months. I entered my details during Feb'2018. From then on, I am trying to book more than 6 tickets in my username, it is not materialising. A few weeks before I re-entered my Aadhaar details in my profile and again looked for prompts/answers from the site. The answer is ''Your Aadhaar number has been verified successfully''. But again the status in the master passenger list shows re-verify. The same thing is happening to my spouse's Aadhaar id also. This is giving lot of difficulties for frequent travellers like me who need to book more than 6 tickets a month. Can anybody suggest ''What this problem is about?'' more

I don't understand what privacy is lost in sharing one's Aadhaar number which the UIDAI vouches. Even after this if the privacy is breached, UIDAI should constantly secure the safety to the core. UIDAI should make Aadhaar at par with SSN - Social Security Number exists in USA. Just for the sake of opposing government initiative, public and opposition filed litigation and I feel pity Supreme Court wasted its time and energy to hear the case and decide as it did in recent other 2 cases. It has been proved by the government that this helped the exchequer to save crores of rupees. Coming to IRCTC site issue, constant upgradation of the system is a must and the corporation must continuously strive for it to address the issues raised here in this forum. more
The Railway site is managed by cheap IT graduates, who have no knowledge on web designing. The whole system is defective and aimed at depending on middlemen. more
I have no comment on this issue. On Sat, Oct 27, 2018 at 5:49 PM Anand Chandran wrote: > more
According to recent SC judgment, pvt establishment can't demand aadhar. IRCTC is a pvt org though it function as pvt-public. So the need of aadhar in irctc is illegal. more
IRCTC is not really looking into this issue. I also faced the same issue. more
