VERY GOOD EMERGENCY RESPONSE BY RAILWAYS TO PREVENT UNTOWARD INCIDENTS :

IMPORTANCE OF FESTIVAL SEASONS FOR INDIANS. As we live in a large country with diverse peoples, we also follow different festivals during a Calendar year . The main being Deepavali season , followed by puja season and , School Holidays . There may be other regional and religious holidays.

THE RAILWAYS SHOULD HAVE A MASTER PLAN FOR EVERY YEAR , AND PREPARE THE REQUIREMENTS WELL IN ADVANCE INSTEAD OF RESORTING TO SOME MAKESHIFT ARRANGEMENT ON THE 11TH HOUR . THE RAILWAYS HAS TO GO BACK TO PAST EXPERIENCES TO PLAN FOR THE FUTURE . RAILWAYS SHOULDN’T THROW-TO-THE-WIND THE PAST EXPERIENCE.

It is really pathetic to see the state of the travelling passengers , every single inch in the compartment is utilized , including the Toilet .

Now that the Railways has experienced over the so many years on the disappointment and , Torture the passenger gone through to reach home for the festive season to be with the near and dear ones, draw out TANGIBLE PLAN to provide service to such Passengers ;

THESE PASSENGERS THOUGH TRAVEL ONCE IN WAY DURING FESTIVALS , ARE A DEFINITE GROUP WHO WILL TRAVEL YEAR AFTER YEAR . They need the services of the Railways as they come with lots of hope to the Railway stations in India to reach home for the Festival.

Some simple suggestions :
* Prepare a list of the days / Periods that there are such crowds .

* Be prepared with extra compartments of all popular Classes for the festival seasons .

* Increase the number of trains to the demand level .

* Unreserved Trains to these destinations should be operated ON THE BASIS OF THE EXPECTED / PAST NEEDS . To see that passengers no more travel in toilets . They are also legitimate passengers with tickets .

* These festival specials should be well advertised in all language newspapers and the Industries and organizations that have big work force .

* Appoint temporary staff only for the Festival periods to regulate and manage the Crowd , after all they are also our Indian brethren .

ATLEAST for THE COMING FESTIVAL WE REQUEST THE RAILWAYS TO PLAN NOW AND GIVE A HAZZLE FREE JOURNEY FOR THESE IMMIGRANT WORKERS AS WELL AS NORMAL ONES .

The next Festival seasons to come up shortly are :

This Forum was floated around 2014/15 , which has given ample opportunity for the CUSTOMERS / WELL WISHERS to raise their opinions and suggestions to MAKE THE GREAT RAILWAYS BETTER AND NOT TO EXPRESS WISHFUL THINKING . Our Railways is endowed ALREADY WITH " Serving 22MILLION (2.2 Crores ,) PASS/DAY , utilizing 70,000 COACHES, 13,313 TRAINS , 7,216 RLY. STN. IR IS THE WORLD'S EIGHTH BIGGEST EMPLOYER AND HAD 1.331 MILLION (IE. 13,31,000) EMPLOYEES AT THE END OF 2015-16 ." Hon'ble P.M's Motto is also to march ahead with the assistance of general public for Development . An important component of development in Railways is to enhance the facilities and comforts to the Customers who utilize Railways' services for travel across the country . INDIA IS KNOWN FOR THE FESTIVALS AND EVERY INDIAN ATTACHES IMPORTANCE TO IT , PARTICULARY THE ONES LEAVING THE FAMILY IN THE HOME STATE AND WORKING ELSEWHERE AS MIGRANT LABOURER . WE HAVE 139 MILLION (13. 9 CRORES )THEY NEED TO VISIT THEIR FAMILIES NEAR AND DEAR OES AT LEAST ONCE OR TWICE A YEAR . RAILWAYS ISTHE RIGHT MODE OFTRAVEL FOR THEM AS THERE IS A LONG MENU OF CLASSES TO CHOSE FOR THE DIFFERENT SECTION .LIKE FROM 1ST A/C TO SLEEPER CLASS , TO RESERVED SITTING TO UNRESERVED COMPARTMENNTS . THE ONLY CLASS THAT THEY CAN AFFORD WITH GREAT DIFFICULTY IS UNRESERVED CLASS THAT IS THE CHEAPEST . INDIA IS TURNING OUT TO BE A WELFARE STATE , BUT NO ONE IS ASKING FOR FREE TRAVEL FOR THESE POOR LOTS WHO LAY THE ROADS AND DO ALL THE DIRTY WORK IN YOUR STATE . ALL THAT MY POST REQUESTED WAS FOR PLAN A FESTIVAL SEASON TRAVEL WITH MINIMUM HASSLE FOR SUCH CUSTOMERS (THEY ARE PAYING PASSENGERS , NOT TICKET LESS .) THINK IT OVER MR. ASIS KUMAR DAS . Hey, don't make this place an advertising board for wishful thinking without considering practical difficulties. Regular daily trains reaching destinations in time is a rare phenomenon now. Most trains run late and most pathetic is when you wait outside the destination station for over an hour as no platform is vacant to place the waiting train onto the platform. Increasing the number of trains without proper infrastructure will only increase this problem further, with trains running late into several hours. And during festive season, even the Railways run special trains, those seldom run in time as they don't have any regular time table and need to return early. Do you want to start for Durgapuja and reach after Diwali? more  
P M, Modiji & Railway Minister Piyushji, Congratulations for your efforts and hard work. I have seen following info in Mar.2019, about Super fast trains from Howrah to New Delhi. Very good step. I appreciate u. May I request you regarding 2 more Railway routes. 1). Train from Kolhapur(Maharashtra) to Kakinada/Vishakhapatnam via Hyderabad. 2). Extra Train Howrah to Hubli or up to Goa (Vasco da Gama). So many people facing difficulty during the last 25 years, lacking direct train from Kolhapur to Kakinada via Hyderabad. Kolhapur to Hyd train Haripriya express eats 23 hours. There is 1 train from Kolhapur to Solapur takes 8 hours, but Solapur to Hyd no train, What is wrong here, to dig out deep in to the malpractices. Regarding 2nd route Howra to Hubli/Goa route, Present train 18047 is not at all sufficient from Bengal, Odisa, AP, Telanagana, Karnataka/Maharashtra border dists. and Goa route. So many People, especially ladies, children, job seekers, poor workers always facing difficulty in present single overcrowded train 18047. Poor travelers from Orissa & Bengal sit n sleeps near passages and near toilets also is always causes inconvenience to move in each every bogie . Not only Services/supplies of water even into toilets, but food-supply from catering , drinking water are insufficient. TCs fear to handle crowds & Ignores Ticket checks, Result is big loss to Railways. Sleeper class Reserved commuters and Even A C reserved bogie commuters get frequently disturbed by extra crowds.
