Very poor aftersales service by apple

I must apple is the best product company with worst after sale service.

Their after sales service is designed to extract poor consumers money as much as they can.

When a product just a few month outside warranty period goes bad you must see how they take you for a ride. 3000-4000 just to diagnose problem, 10000 at times to fix it.

Govt of India must seriously form after sales service rules in this country urgently. In america canada people discard phones every 2-3 years because phone companies discount heavily and hence apples bad after sale service story doesnt come out.

We Indians dont have that luxury and cant afford to pay such expensive after sale charges.. more

Manufacturers/dealers of all consumer gadgets including motor vehicles simply loot the consumers in the name of after sale services. The prices of the spare parts are priced so highly that if one wants to assemble a new one at his home by buying the parts, the product will cost at least 3 to 4 times of its actual price. That too, they will not give any guarantee that the same will work satisfactorily at least for a reasonable period after the service. Since all manufacturers/dealers are guilty of duping the consumers in the same way, there is no point in accusing the Apple alone. more
why should the govt interfere in pvt company affairs , if you do not want authorised go to another service provider , govt cannot impose restrictions on charges by pvt operators , there are lot of pvt service providers for apple products who provide service at lesser cost , the company showroom will obviously charge more because of their extra overheads , showroom , manpower etc etc more
You are in business that is why your suggestion seem to be business oriented. Apart from your business you are also a consumer. You know why specifications/certifications/standards (BIS/AGMARK) are stipulated to produce quality product. It is not only for the manufactured items but also for the services like ISO etc. You know how many maruti dealers call themselves as ISO companies but render poor services but charging exorbitantly. more
This is the state of affairs in Indian Companies and Indian managed MNCs. Very pathetic situation. Realising their monopoly and to put a break to their autocratic functioning if the Govt.of India want to open the doors for direct functionng of MNCs in India ( I mean opening the doors for Wal-Mart like enterprises) the political urchins in the Country will start a huge hulla- bulla. Untill the Country becomes a buyers' market and consumers rule is supreme, situation cannot be reversed. One man will not be able to correct the past mistakes of previous rulers more
I also agree to this suggestion that the govt. should take steps to address this issue. more
Yes, Govt of India must seriously lay down guidelines for sales service rules in this country. more
