Vip culture in railways

The President of India travelled to Kanpur (his native)in a presidential saloon attached to a presidential train with his wife and family.

I thought VIP culture in India reduced. Not from this video. In the middle of a pandemic why cant the PRESIDENT take a private or commercial flight to Kanpur. Why does an entire train need to take 4-5 people.

It is utter waste of tax payer money on his personal family trip more

They say that when you keep a lion as a pet, you have to keep feeding its expensive choices too. If we have a bloated government with politicians and babus waiting to milk the tax-payers money, we can only comment about it. Is there a logical way out of this abuse? more
VIP culture has come down slightly after removal of Lal Batti from all Govt. vehicles. Even the judges were very much upset with this decision. There is dire need to end this culture. The Ex President, Ms. Pratibha Patil used to visit her native place in a plane very frequently. The Planes/trains/flashy Govt. cars/SUVs are being mis-used by VIPs at the cost of hapless tax payers. The perks and privileges of all Ex and present VIPs must be curtailed by 75% to save thousands of crore every year. The expenditure on Present/Governor house need to be reviewed and the man power must be reduced by 70%. The British era culture be dispensed with without further delay. more
Babu culture is peak in India since the Britishers. Indian still look for bureaucracy. Many Indian citizens wouldn't see anything wrong in it. more
I have when MMS was PM, he came to Mumbai. He was returning back to Airport. There were a Total of 49 Vehicles in his entourage. This is too much of Luxuary. Such things must stop Immediately. more
