Vision for Citizen Engagement Circles

Thanks for all the suggestions on the post yesterday. Here are the various circles we expect to have for engagement between Government and Citizens.

1) National Circle (Transform India with Narendra Modi) - For Citizen inputs to the Prime Minister and Government Leaders on governance, development and national importance.

2) Ministry Circles - Separate Circles would be started for every Central Government Ministry and once 1000+ citizens are in each one of the circles, the Minister and Bureaucrats would be invited to join the circle. These circles would enable the Ministry and Citizens to focus on specific subjects, submit issues, feedback on policies and services, suggestions for changes etc.

3) Constituency Level Local Circles - These circles would enable citizens in a constituency to connect with get/stay connected with each other and their elected Member of Parliament. Such circles will enable citizens to address local issues like Water , Safety, Roads, Power etc. These circles will commence from Delhi/NCR region followed by other urban constituencies in the order of citizen submission of interest.

4) Specific Debate Circles - These types of circles would be started to discuss a particular subject inviting citizens to join based on interest and once the debate is complete, members would leave this circle. A circle for Article 370 is currently being considered based on citizen requests.

For all circles, the BJP Communication Cell will serve as the channel between Citizens and Government for collation and submissions with various Thought Leaders playing the role of Administrator. Once the Government Departments/Ministries/Elected Representatives are invited and join the circle, they may be able to conduct direct exchange/collation.
