Vote is our duty which should noy be compromised bercause of cell phone

Mobile phone must be permitted. Most of the people in Mumbai has a cell phone with them.
If the phone is treated as security threat, then on the entrance, a person must be made available with number tag, who will collect the phone & return the same after collecting number tag from the owner of the phone.
A notice may be put stating that Phone must be deposited at owners risk.
Vote is not only our right but is an important DUTY more

Sorry. But I do not agree. As more work for the staff who are temporary and work at unusual places. Also why people need cell phone when going to vote. Also they will use cell as camera and for selfies. No problem when cell is not with us for some time. No cell ,no vote is wrong thinking. Yes, Voting is our primary responsibility but I personally experienced to find out my name in the voters list. This scene is not only with me but with many voters. Names are mis-spelt. Voters list is realigned based on the creation of new wards which voters are unaware. Addresses are wrong. In cosmopolitan set up, especially in major towns and cities, voters lists must be in English, besides in the local language, so the voters themselves can easily find their names. This necessiates single card instead numerous cards like pancard, voters card, aadhaar card. I feel aadhaar card stands tall in the categatory. So the new government must initiate action to make single card system which will be unique and hassle free and solve many issues. more
