REFUND FROM MAKE MY TRIP
Make my trip is not refunding the Hotel booking made through them for my journey to GULMARG,in spite of booking two months in advance. When we reached, there were no bookings and we have to face extreme difficulty with family and had to arrange our own with great difficulty. The same happened when we reached to PAHALGAM from there. It is more than a year now and we are writing and writing to their various levels including top management. No positive response except for a message that it will be resolved.
It is evident that Make my trip is purposely delaying the matter. Can something be done through this platform. J D Bakshi. more

Dear Mr. Bakshi, I am a hotelier and from my experience, I can say that generally, Hotels in J&K are unprofessional it must be the Hotels who messed up with your reservation but since Make my trip assures you an alternate arrangement and you had to do it on your own, you are within all your rights to ask for refunds and if you do not get it I think you should consider suing them not only for the refund but also for the lost time on a holiday and the hassles faced. more

Something similar happened with me when Goibibo refused to refund the ticket fare when the bus cancelled the originating point of the trip. I will never book a ticket with GoIbibo again. more

One has to be very careful - the first time I tried going through Make My Trip my interest was "hijacked" by a similar sounding site. Luckily I did not have any issues as we made the payment only after getting picked up at the airport by the car. My most recent experience with Make My Trip in May was also good. more
