WAQF Properties taken back

Govt has taken back 123 Waqf properties in Delhi.

The Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs has pasted notices outside 123 properties in Delhi incl mosques, dargahs, cemetery, denotifying them as properties of the Delhi Waqf Board.

These 123 properties were provided to Delhi Waqf Board by the previous Congress govt before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. However, VHP approached the court as these properties were in prominent places in Delhi.

Two committees were formed to hear all the affected stakeholders

The committee said that the board is neither interested in these properties nor is filing any objection, therefore decided to absolve Delhi Waqf Board from all matters pertaining to 123 Waqf properties. more

Waqf Board operates in a way that benefits only the Muslim community, potentially at the expense of other communities. They believe that this exclusivity creates a disparity and is unfair to Hindus and other non-Muslims. The management of waqf properties has been marred by mismanagement and corruption. They argue that this mismanagement not only affects the intended beneficiaries but also impacts the local community as a whole. The Waqf Act might be unconstitutional because it creates a special legal framework for the management of properties related to one religion. They contend that such special provisions might violate the principle of secularism and equal treatment under the Constitution. There have been instances where disputes over waqf properties have led to communal tension. Critics argue that the Waqf Board's decisions can sometimes exacerbate these tensions. The Waqf Board in India also faces allegations of wrongful deeds or mismanagement, focusing on several key issues. These include mismanagement of properties, lack of transparency, property disputes, and financial irregularities. Many Waqf properties have been neglected or misused, leading to deterioration or misuse. Corruption among Waqf Board officials is also a concern. Legal and administrative issues include a lack of transparency in property administration and illegal transactions. Property disputes and communal tensions are also a concern. Financial irregularities include unaccounted funds and a lack of auditing. The management of Waqf properties can have a negative impact on local communities, leading to beneficiary neglect and economic displacement. The Indian government has attempted to address these concerns through amendments to the Waqf Act. #Banwaqfboard #ban #waqf #India #islam #muslim #quran #syariah more
properties controlled by waqf board since the law passed by congress long time back runs in lakhs waqf actually controls land equivalent to 1/3rd of land mass of India in commercial and residential properties illegally, some of them are of muslims who left India in 1947 ( though Hindus who left their properties in pakistan were deprived of any rights in properties in pakistan the very day of announcement of partition of India by paki laws ) besides illegal occupation , by collaborating with congress , and other so called secular political parties , now most of these properties are used for illegal activities against Hindus and the country more
