Water logging in colony inner roads lead to problems of mobility and mosquito breeding. more
people in politics are busy in creating their vote banks and are least bothered about welfare of the people who have elected them. Better civic amenities are hard to be seen. Blame game is another pass time. more
Water logging, pot holes and construction woes Being impossible to live a healthy life with all the noise &dust pollution No help from police and MCD officials in spite of various complaints. Knowing the complainant they have stopped responding. more
Pot holes developing after the very 1st rain indicates poor slopes of roads and choked drainage system. We heard so many claims from the MCD (BJP ruled) as well as AAP reps about cleaning of x no. of drains and taking pats on their own backs. The result is in front of every body. There are mohalla samitis promoted by the local Delhi Govt. and Whatsapp groups created to voice issues. Nothing is happening through these groups. Just the avoidance games putting blames on MCD/ Flood deptt./ Disaster management authority etc. No one is bothered about the aam aadmi (not the party) of Delhi. Every political party is trying to blow their own trumpets. Unless there is initiative, responsibility taken and projects owned by civic bodies to ensure quality work in a time bound manner, things will go from bad to worse, as we are witnessing. People are prepared to take initiatives and lead in their respective areas as per my interaction with many RWAs; but there has to be willingness and co-operation from the civic agencies and they have to rise above the party lines... more
Residents of Delhi have to be extra careful in handling wastes. Segregation into recyclables, toxic, and organic/bio degradable. This has to start from individual homes and whole colonies have to follow that. At present plastic bags are the most frequent causes of clogged drains in Delhi. Vacum suction trucks have to be called. Similarly there are options available for handling of solid wastes emanating from households and commercial establishments with segregation as the first step. I have also identified Vedic Sciences based technologies which can find use in waste management, effluent treatment including sewage and help recovery of precious water resource. Can be used for treatment of municipal (DJB) water supplies also. more
