We thought you will save us from Electronic wastes! Are you listening Mr Arvind Kejriwal?

Electronic wastes are causing widespread damage to human health and environment due to the use of toxic and hazardous materials in the manufacture of electronic goods. Cadmium from one mobile phone battery is enough to pollute 600 m3 of water. On the basis of revelations made by Soumya Singh during internship with Consumers India, an appeal was made to Chief Minister of Delhi (Mr Arvind Kejriwal) for time-bound action to safeguard the health and well being of our consumers. How about getting info from DPCC through RTI regarding work done by them so far and if their reply is not satisfactory - filing a PIL case on them forcing them to do the job. I do not believe that writing to president of India will really help as their office normally forwards such complaints to concerned departments only. more
Practically nothing much is happening. more
Its a very serious matter - but is'nt DPCC supposed to handle this ? is'nt it their job ? I hope they are looking at it. more
