What can be the logic to provide water taps in the center of the wash basins ! See photographs pls.

PNR 653189440
Please have a look towards the photographs of wash basins provided inside the AC 2 compartment of HWH ADI
Super-fast express No.12834.The concept of passenger about a luxurious and comfortable travel in AC 2 is being destroyed 7 damaged by railways. As soon as you enter in the compartment you are unknowingly attracted towards the poor ambiance maintained by railway.
It seems that no any periodical inspections are carried out by the responsible authorities. You can see Dirty and stained floors.Tanks kept over the lavatory leaks.
Very interestingly one can see the fittings of the taps on the wash basins. What can be logic to provide water taps in the center of the wash basins !
You can not wash your face because of centrally fitted taps. Had the taps fitted in corner of basins ,it can be easy to wash the mouth after brush. Every time everyone faces such difficult situation. We never mind to bring it to the notices of railways. But ,does it require to point out such small lacuna ?
After finishing travels we get down and the problems remains the same.
General Managers visits to the stations are very popular to provide best facilities to the passengers.A much show-off is made of such visits.GM's inspection team consists of many officers from lower grade to top brasses. It is surprisingly fact that how they can not realize these type of simple problems. These type problems can be resolve without much expense or extra materials. On the contrary while these fittings are made at initial stage, the rectification can be done then and there only. It only requires certain vision.
I hope railway authorities shall verify the facts going through the recent photographs attached. The compartment number can also be seen in one of the photographs.

I hope rectification process will be initiated at an early in all such compartments. more

Just as travelling without ticket or improper ticket attracts penalties, likewise, improper or insufficient services also should attract penalty i.e. refund of fare. more
From the attached photos, the tap appears to be fitted extrneously creating the problem. Travelling in an AC coach of Indian Railways is no more a luxury nor it is too comfortable. Though maintenance of the coashes is poor but for dirtiness thereog, the railways alone is responsible but we, the passengers, are largely responsible, which can't be denied. As far as inpection is concerned, it is an established practice in this country to make everything up-to-date and agile prior to the visits and quickly return back to earlier position as soon as such inspections are over. There is nothing new to it. Therefore, it is better not to have much expectation from the Indian Railways. more
As I remember when the coach is manufactured the tap is at one of the corners but as and when it is repaired, the workshop put a piece of pipe and then tap and nobody supervises and objects. So whatever a workman fits and make it operational seems to be OK. Supervision and quality seem to be missing. Maintenance of coaches is very poor..... more
Total failure of inspections by supervisors and no actions taken. more
Sad state of affairs. Another case of ‘chalta Hai’! Someone has to be held responsible for the flaw and punished! Accountability -one solution for most evils. more
