What citizen can do for Swachh Bharat

I recently came across this video. It says it all.

An inspiration works for a while, not everyone gets inspired enough to act. Even much before this "Swachha Bharat" term, we cleaned the walls in society. Cleared the corners from garbage. But that doesn't last long and people stopped pooling for it. With time, the look gets dull, things get damaged and people do not have choice. The same cleaned spots again become ugly. CHALLENGES: To maintain, it needs budget. Proper garbage collection system on a regular basis. When we already have municipality and other offices, those who are appointed to maintain the cleanliness : Why should everyone doing it? Those who are responsible, those who are paid, those who are appointed for this purpose must be held accountable. If anyone fails to his/her duty, there must be a strict punishment. The same applies to all aspects of our system. Corruption is Dirt. Bribe is Dirt. Those who are spreading dirt in all walks of our life must be punished. This dirt in judiciary, police, offices, traffic all proves enough to demoralize us every moment. I do not want to discourage, but to make you all aware. The dirt is not just street garbage, but in many forms. If we don't clean it in all manners, things will remain ugly. more
yes, interaction and co operation with the local corporator will help in keeping the surrounding areas clean more
Brilliant! "Don't talk, do the work", the most powerful message. "मुंह बंद, काम चालू ! more
It is an inspiration. This is exactly what we are planning to do. We have called a meeting with our corporator to know if we can take up and beautify the land in front of our apartment. more
Let us know what do you think? more
