What Eklection Commission thinks on RK Nagar poll

The R K Nagar assembly election in Tamil Nadu has caused frustration and disappointment amongst cross section of people in Tamil Nadu, as there were serious allegations of corruption by all political parties which contested in the election.

Scenes of gross violation of election procedures by candidates and their supporters have been shown in the television channels and reported in print media.

After the election is over and people think about the sordid events that happened, most people think that Election Commission which is the watchdog and conscience keeper of the voters should have ensured free and fair election at any cost.

What is particularly disturbing is that the Election Commission has so far not reacted at all to the widespread criticism , thus giving an impression that it thinks that everything went normally. R K Nagar assembly election seems to be the case of “operation success but patient died”.

The Election Commissioners should take a long term view of the level of harm that have been done to the body politic of India by the happenings in R K Nagar constituency.
I appeal to the Election Commission to immediately issue a statement on it’s stand.

This is required not only to protect the credibility of Election Commission but also to restore people’s faith on it’s capability to conduct fair election.

Election Commissioners may come and go but Election Commission and it’s credibility and people’s faith in it should be there all the time.

UNLESS EVERY INDIVIDUAL PRACTICE SELF AUDITED DISCIPLINARY ACTION IN THEIR PERSONAL & SOCIAL LIFE ,IT WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT (rather impossible) TO CORRECT THE PRESENT PATHATIC SITUATION,BECAUSE 60 LONG YEARS OF DRAVIDIAN UNETHICAL WORK CULTURE HAVE RUINED THE COMMON MAN & CORRUPTED THE ENTIRE SOCIETY. Please note that the things hav gone beyond control. The election commission is an independent authority and it should have controlled everything. But nothing is done. is it true that every where the independant authorities are either bought for money or made silent spectators.See the ruling of 2G case. Inspite of supreme court finding that there was primafacy inthat case the sitting judge has let them free. What is happening inthis country. No  one knows it.So we are nearing for a stage that none can live peacefully in india.Mighty will boss over the others and get away easily. So conditions for living in this country will become very bad for normal law abiding citizens. So this is the findings of the above cases. What can we expect from such kind of people who sell their souls for a mere pittance? They have thought this is better than getting nothing for the bygone years. We need only dictatorship for correcting this state of affairs more
We have to blame ourselves. RK Nagar people have kept their promises in supporting the fellow who gives more., proving undoubtedly that no governance can stop them from getting. This has defeated the principle of democracy. Once when it is known about material distribution whether it is money or kind, election commission need not try to prove to any one and should be autonomous in taking action by just disqualifying the candidate irrespective of the party to which he belongs or idependents as the case may be. more
The election commission is again made up of Indians. more
