What happes to us during our difficult times?

The Governments in India take very Heavy taxes from us. But if due to any reasons, if we lose our jobs. We do not get anything from the government.
This is so unfair.
The middle class segment is the most neglected segment, although we pay most of the taxes and do not have a dime of black. more

With due respects Mr. Srirama Murty, It seems you have made a lot of money but its not the case with all others, In other countries also people who have lost there jobs do not have to start begging as Govt. supports there daily living till he get on another job and I am talking about middle class people here. The amount of taxes are huge and many forms other than TDS and more over a middle class person after struggling for years is able to take House only via a Home Loan and if during such a time if there is a rescission or layoff which is rampant these days what then? Should he start begging or never buy a house of his own? more
If you paid heavy taxes, it means that you earned a lot of money. Such persons should be aware of the difficulties and save / invest for such eventualities also. Expecting every thing from Government (we are all part of it) is unfair in my view. more
No extra rebate in taxes has been provided to Senior citizens. Further new LIC policies are being introduced. At this Juncture of life, what is the charm of Insurance policies? Insurance policies are good for youngsters as their benefits are received later. And not for senior citizens, In my opinion. more
