The organisational think-tank need to be "prepared and pro-active". Fixing rope-railings in front of wine shops would have been one such pro-active measure. Rationing of liquor per person would be another step towards "preparedness". Indelible thumb marking (like during elections) would have avoided "repeats" (it has been observed that people have been hoarding free foodstuff and not consuming it). more

Besides increasing the retail prices, the stocks of vegetable and other agri produce lying in Azadpur Mandi will rot, a loss to the farmers and the Mandi agents. Mehrauli Mandi is also learnt to have closed for almost a week, reportedly due to some deaths on account of coronavirus. May I suggest that some form of fumigation in the Mandis and localities around be got done on daily basis by the Municipal workers. Hopefully, the Health Officer will not have any objection to this. more
