What is legal/defined criterion for fixing MRP
01. What is the legal and defined criterion for fixings a MRP ??
02. Is there any control regulation on it or it is just the whims and fancies of the producers??
03. It is usually seen that every new batch bears a new and enhanced MRP in case of Medicines and FMCG products (edible and non edible) even if the pries of raw materials are falling. How's that!!
04. Why no control mechanism and legal frame work has not been made??
05. The present system of putting MRP on the packed commodities is awfully lacking and deceitful.
06. What Government is going to do about it??
Members are requested to give their inputs so that the Government is forced to take some step in this regard.

Government has machinery to fix the maximum price. It is the competition in the market, which compels the manufactures to fix after getting hefty premium. more

MRP should be manufacturing cost plus 20%.This 20% takes care of profit and other expenses. more

in a market driven economy, no restrictions are imposed, unless an emergency arises. To my knowledge, no rules exist as a general proposition. However, Staple food items and medicines are regulated through MSP (minimum support price) and Drug Control Act. If my knowledge is either out of date or half-baked, I stand corrected on being enlightened authentically. more

In implementation of any change , it depends solely on the conscience of seller/producer , who are generally 'OUT OF CONCIOUSNESS IN RIGHTS OR WRONGS"! (MONEY BEING THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR DUE TO CHANGED PRACTICES OVER LAST 50 YEARS ,all efforts are going to WASTE! Consumer has no power to compel a seller as PRESENT LAWS ON SOLID PROOF/FOIR/AND LABOUR PLUS TIME RO SPARED BY USER SACRIFICING HIS OWN NEEDS ELSEWHERE ! Purchaser will have to hear 'dont trake/go away' if he insists with strong mind AND THERE ARE POLUTICAN GOONS PROTECTING THOSE ABUSERS OF LAID PROCEDURES! It means all honest efforts will FLOP AT THE HANDS OF OPPOSITION WHO WERE SO FAR LOOTING/CHEATING! ONLY CHANGING MINDS BY EDUCATIONS FROM 0 YEAR AGE AND IN 'INDISAN PHILOSOPHY' IN COLLEGES/UNIVERSITIES AND PROFESSIONAL COURSES CAN CHANGE BECAUSE WHEN MEN WILL LEARN 'HE IS BORN TO ABIDE BY GOD LAID PROCEDURES OR ELSE THE SEVERITY OF CONDITIONS AFTER DEATH (when mind works but body function ceases ) may gradually retard 'ill doers ' ILL ACTS!
