What is the controversy about Baba Ramdev's medicine of Caronil tablet ? How it all ended ?
Baba Ramdev's 'Coronil ' created and produced by the M/s. Divya Pharmacy is as follows.
Called the Coronil tablet made up of Ashwagandha+ Tulsi+ Giloy. Giloy is powerful immunity booster and useful in fever treatment. It is a good anti-viral Herb. Ashwagandha is good to improve immunity, body-strength and useful anti-viral Herb as well. Tulsi is potent anti-viral and useful in fever, cold and cough.
This compounding-combination is a good one to improve immunity and to fight out viral infections besides the feverishnesses.
This, as a trial drug for Covid-19 worked wonders when applied on 280 patients and was effective in mild symptoms.
But the license of this medicine was not taken specifically to treat Covid-19. Also, without prior governmental clearances, conducting trials in matters of Covid-19's supreme carona viruses and their uncertain strain-varieties is said 'incorrect'.

ICMR, IMA to study Ayurvedic Proprietary Coronil also at par with that of Allopathic Vaccines and then only decide the effects compering with Allopathic Vaccines. more

Wrong promoting this as a cure, especially in the case of corona virus, a matter of life and death. Coronil sales have soared and Patanjali has profited from this. Patanjali's claims, also having government's support, propogating Yoga and ayurveda, if true, then why government spending Rs.35,000 crores for vaccination! Name Coronil, totally misleading. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Monday criticised the promotion of Patanjali’s ayurvedic drug Coronil as “unethical” and a “blatant deceiving of the people of the country”. Need anyone say more? more
