What is the use of Details of CGST, SCGST & IGST on TAX INVOICE to a Customer (B2C)?

I have a retails store. We issue Tax Invoice to our customers who pay by cash or by Electronic transfer(B2C). For those who provide us with their GSTIN we provide them Tax Invoice with their GST details(B2B).

On both the Tax Invoice we have to mention the GST Calculation(details of CGST & SGST). Most of the B2C customers gets confused with the amount and presume that we are charging the GST as add on to it whereas its not the case. For example, If some one buys a Shirt for Rs.1400 the GST computation shows Taxable amount as Rs.1250 then CGST 75 & SGST 75. Some customers get in to argument as the real price is 1250 and we are charging GST upon it. around 1% of customers behave even badly as if we are trying to teach them.

Just want to ask what is the complete use of that details to a B2C customer? Even if someone wants to use it an expense he will take the entire amount spent rather then the Taxable value. Shouldn't the GST computation on B2C TAX INVOICE be stopped? more

And, I am talking of the GST/CGST which is chargeable on MRP mentioned on the tag of the shirt. If you are giving discount on the MRP, you can charge GST/CGST on the discounted price which is the latest MRP. The price on the Tax Invoice to customer is proportionately reduced. It is necessary to indicate in the invoice to customer for he has to claim refund in the event of reduction in GST or MRP. At the retail outlet the problem is of not submitting copies of the retail invoice to the Trade and Taxes Department of the State for assessment but the periodical returns which are manipulated and have no co relation with the daily retail invoices issued. more
Please tell your customer to recollect midnight telecast on 30/06/2017. Many out of your customers must have witness that. more
Silly. What a question. That is the only way to know that the said invoice is likely to be authentic. Moreover, why you are suddenly asking this question? You should have asked since day one, as to why the Sales Tax and CST registration numbers were earlier required legally on every invoice & cash memo. GST has only replaced them, more
As previously CST & UPTT number was replaced by VAT and later VAT was replaced by GSTIN. They all were printed on the Invoices.

The description of Tax was never required in CST, UPTT & VAT as I am in Trade for last 22 Years. Now this problem has all of a sudden popped up after GST was implemented. Now, I don't consider it as a draw back of GST but just want to know the use of it. I know Me raising the voice might gather some people but wont effect a policy change. more
What is the real price? MRP inclusive of GST/CGST mentioned on the price tag? Or, the real price is ex-factory price, or that you are talking is MRP plus GST/CGS? Plz. explain. more
Sir, am taking of MRP that is on a SHIRT. more
Anshu, you are right. I even have some foreign customers who tell me that I am cheating them by charging the same amount of tax twice. I explain the difference but they believe I am bullshitting them as, they say, nowhere in the world the tax is charged twice ..... Anyway, we have to live with it ... :) No point cribbing .. more
