Whatsapp admins cannot be held liable
If someone in the group posts a vulgar defamatory or hate message the admin should not be held liable as when a person creates a WhatsApp group, he cannot be expected to predict or have advance knowledge of the criminal acts of any person. Therefore to hold him criminally liable for messages circulated on WhatsApp by third party is unwarranted and violates the right to life under article 21.

The admin cannot be held responsible for any members misconduct in the group. If the principal of holding head of the group responsible for his subordinates mischief there will will be chaos all around. Can you apply it to Navy, military, political parties, other groups. more

Admins hv to take responsibility and regulate their groups accordingly you cant expect the government to clean the mess you started (by creating a group that spreads fake messages) more

Instead of Admin, why not make only the member/person liable who is posting unacceptable messages. why the Admin should be held liable when he has no controls over the messages floating in the group. more

Admins need to be taken to task this will definitely reduce the number of spamming WhatsApp groups. Most of these groups waste a precious resource 'the internet' more

WhatsApp groups and/or Broadcasts are created by one person to benefit or communicate with people to his benefit. Since it is free every Tom dick and Harry want to create groups and distribute content free, so by doing so he is responsible not only for the content he distributes but any content posted in the group. These groups are annoying and add you even if they don't know you, by holding the admin responsible it would be in the best interest of the bigger picture! more

Exactly so a person creating a group needs to be held accountable and the reason for creating the group should be justifiable to let him go, you can't misuse a plaform and shirk responsibility more
